Epic Tapestry Developer / Configuration Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Epic Tapestry Developer / Configuration Specialist to join our healthcare technology team. This role will focus on designing, building, configuring, and maintaining Epic Tapestry modules to support healthcare payer operations such as benefits, enrollment, claims, and provider management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, a deep understanding of Epic’s Tapestry suite, and experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain Epic Tapestry applications, including modules such as Membership, Benefits, Claims, and Provider.
  • Work closely with business analysts and operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configuration and development solutions.
  • Develop and test workflows, rules, and integrations within Epic.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tapestry configurations and customizations.
  • Collaborate with EDI, data integration, and reporting teams to ensure data consistency and performance.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and go-lives.
  • Provide documentation and user support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an Epic Tapestry Developer or Application Analyst.
  • Current Epic Tapestry certification (e.g., Tapestry Membership, Benefits, Claims, or Provider).
  • Strong experience configuring and optimizing Tapestry modules for health plans or payers.
  • Understanding of healthcare payer operations including claims processing, benefits configuration, enrollment, and provider networks.
  • Experience with Epic Chronicles and data models.
  • Familiarity with EDI formats (e.g., 834, 837, 835) and integration best practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Epic’s PlanLink, Care Management, or other related modules.
  • Background working with managed care organizations or insurance companies.
  • SQL or Clarity reporting skills.
