NASCO Implementation SME

Part-time, Contract Opportunity 

We are seeking a seasoned NASCO Implementation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic advisory and hands-on guidance for a critical initiative. Our client is evaluating core administration platforms as part of a market RFI process and needs expert insight to support decision-making and planning.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to help the internal team navigate the implementation of NASCO.
  • Identify common pitfalls, misconceptions, and inefficiencies, providing expert recommendations on optimal deployment strategies.
  • Advise on the full spectrum of NASCO configuration, including:
    • Product and benefit design
    • Provider architecture and management
    • Enrollment and member processing
    • Claims handling and adjudication
  • Support the development of a compelling solution pitch for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • You’ve been in the trenches of NASCO implementations and understand the nuances of configuration, operations, and deployment. You’re proactive, strategic, and can translate technical complexity into business impact. You’re available to jump into a short-term engagement and help a motivated team make smart, forward-looking platform decisions.
You'll need:
  • Deep hands-on experience with NASCO implementations.
  • Familiarity with health insurance workflows and business processes.
  • Understanding of NASCO system extensibility—especially portals, reporting, correspondence, and customer service modules.
