Data Center Engineering Operations Technician

We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of a high-performance data center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network, hardware, and operating system installations and configurations in a live server environment. You will also play a key role in maintaining the uptime, efficiency, and reliability of our data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve basic network, hardware, and operating system issues in a live server environment.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating with manufacturers, field representatives, and the logistics department as necessary to procure replacement parts.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational and efficiency improvements, recommending and assisting in the implementation of solutions to optimize data center performance.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all operational processes and procedures are followed with a high level of attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support, engineering, and logistics, to ensure smooth data center operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining IT hardware, servers, and networking equipment.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and cabling.
- Familiarity with operating system installation and configuration (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, live production environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
