Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced API Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing APIs for healthcare portals, with a proven track record of delivering robust and scalable solutions. This role demands excellent communication skills, both oral and presentation, as the developer will frequently interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using .NET, C#, and C++ programming languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for healthcare portal applications.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs in existing applications.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Prepare and maintain code documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols in the healthcare industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience (3+ years) as an API developer with specific experience in healthcare portal API development.
- Strong understanding of the .NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
- Strong oral and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance requirements related to healthcare information.
